On May 31st Pascoe Vale Rotary and students from the Departments of Audiology and Speech Pathology, Optometry and Vision Sciences at the University of Melbourne, ran free hearing and vision screening tests for children aged 4 to 6. Held at Corpus Christi Primary School in Glenroy, these screening tests are a popular club activity we look forward to running.
Students were supervised by qualified health professionals, and reports prepared for parents. The tests are simple, quick, and non-invasive. 50 children were tested which is a great number!
Vision and hearing play a crucial role in a child’s early development and learning. That’s why we are proud to offer free vision and hearing screenings for young children—and taking advantage of these tests can make a lasting difference.
With thanks to the University of Melbourne students, and special thanks to Pascoe Vale Rotarian Deborah D’Aprano for her catering arrangements!
