At our most recent meeting, member Grant Godino gave us a Rotarian Behind the Badge talk. Grant spoke about how he
- Grew up around Rotary, with early memories of club Christmas parties
- Began his career as a teacher in Alice Springs amd transitioned into child safety and policy roles, working to protect vulnerable young people
- Deepened his Rotary involvement through youth programs, club leadership, and global advocacy
- Founded the LGBT+ Rotary Fellowship, leading efforts to make Rotary more inclusive and aligned with human rights standards
Grant now advises Rotary International on equity, governance, and event safety to help shape a more inclusive and welcoming organisation.
